Recently, MSS has been involved in providing industry-wide actionable
and practical professional services to chartered and regulatory bodies,
trade unions and associations in Nigeria with a view to providing vital
industry statistics, qualitative performance measurement and evaluation
criteria for the overall growth of the individual industries. Our goal
in this task is to expand the industries’ market size, get the
individual players off the treadmill of incrementalism, saving them from
becoming “a -one-vision-wonder” companies and creating vibrant internal
markets that focus energy on the challenge of creating new wealth for
ideas, capital and talent.
We have just concluded, in collaboration with the National Institute of
Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), a national consumer survey of the most
outstanding product, product service brands and marketing activities in
Nigeria cutting across Banking, Insurance, Aviation, Telecommunications,
Fast Foods, Consumer Durable and Non -Durable Products, Foods and
Beverages among others. The result of the study was used by NIMN to
present the 2005 NIMN Award for Marketing Excellence (NAME) to deserving
corporate bodies on October 4, 2005 as part of the activities marking
the 2005 Marketing Week.
